ABOUT
"Pride and accomplishment through sneakers."

HOW WE BEGAN
Walk of Achievement was started by Michael Nicholes, a public school employee who noticed kids at his elementary school were being bullied for wearing sneakers that weren't in the best shape. Not surprisingly, these students were being affected negatively in the classroom and on the school yard. Believing he could could encourage these kids and boost their confidence, "Mr. Mike," a life-long sneakerhead, began gifting cool shoes to kids in need.

MISSION
Founded in 2024, the Walk of Achievement Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Inglewood, dedicated to empowering students by providing them with brand-new sneakers and clothing. We believe that confidence starts from the ground up, and by meeting essential needs, we help students walk boldly toward their future. Our mission is to create a pipeline of resources through sneakers—connecting youth to mentorship, educational opportunities, and community support that inspire achievement. Through our programs, we strive to remove barriers, boost self-esteem, and ensure that every student has the foundation they need to succeed.
